What Makes a Friend?

New people come and go everyday of our lives. Those who stay are friends.
But what makes a friend?
I think for me, the main things are that you have to be someone who:
- Listens and considers my opinions, thoughts, and feelings
- Cares enough to look out for me and give advice, but lets me make my own decisions
- Helps me grow as a person
What do you think? Do you go by the same criteria?

Yes.
I think those are good categories, and will add one more, since it’s got to be mutual:
A friend is also someone who trusts me to do all those things for them.
I was just about to add the characteristic of trust! Good thinking :)
